Secret Invasion has finally arrived on our screens, but what songs are on its soundtrack and who composes the moody music?
Even in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, music plays an important role, as iconic songs spill over at key moments in the superhero franchise.
Despite its bolder and more pessimistic tone, Disney+ series Secret Invasion is no different, but what songs can be heard in the soundtrack and who is the composer behind the show?
Secret Invasion release date and plot preview
Secret Invasion exploded on Disney+ on Wednesday, June 21, 2023.
After first encountering the Skrulls in 2019’s Captain Marvel, Secret Invasion sees the shape-shifting aliens return with vengeance.
Outside Earth, Nick Fury is forced to return to Earth after learning of a hidden threat posed by a rogue Skrull group.
Fury must assemble his shrinking group of allies, including Everett Ross, Maria Hill and Skrull Talos, and prepare to fight this stealthy invasion.

Secret Invasion soundtrack
As in all Marvel series, Secret Invasion will feature a lot of music and songs that have been included in the soundtrack of the series so far:
Chapter 1 | resurrection
New songs will be added as each episode arrives. Secret Invasion will consist of six episodes in total.

Who composed the score?
In addition to the licensed songs that will be included in each episode of Secret Invasion, there is also original music by Kris Bowers.
Born in Los Angeles, California, the American composer has been making music for movies, TV shows and documentaries for over a decade.
Fans will likely recognize his work in movies like 2018’s Oscar-winning Green Book, For The People, Madden NFL video games, Black Monday, Dear White People, King Richard, Raising Dion, and Inventing Anna.
Arguably Bowers’ most famous work came for the Netflix series Bridgerton and its latest spin-off, Queen Charlotte.
To coincide with the release of Secret Invasion, a piece of the series’ soundtrack was released on platforms like Spotify and Apple Music, and is expected to follow a full album after more episodes are released.
