Geto and Kenjaku – The story of the same face, different identity

Anime lovers would notice that Kenjaku, the villain, looks exactly like Gojo’s best friend, Geto. While it may come as a shock to a few, people who have already read the manga won’t be too surprised.

Although the Geto and Kenjaku look exactly the same, they are actually different people. At least when it comes to business identity. Possessing several cursed techniques, Kenjaku is a born master of techniques that allows him to transplant his brain into different bodies in order to possess them.

He managed to survive with this method for years. Because of this, he was able to retrieve Geto’s body after he died. Although they share the same face, their identities are different as one is Gojo’s best friend and the other is the enemy.

Can Kenjaku access Geto’s powers?

Kenjaku’s innate technique allows the host to channel their memories, skills, and jujutsu. This means Kenjaku can easily channel anything connected to Geto.

Another advantage of using the Geto’s body is its memory. Season 2 of the show reveals the strong bond that Geto and Gojo share. Given that they are a team, Geto has all the information about Gojo’s power, as well as information about Tokyo Jujutsu High School and its members.

This gives Kenjaku the edge in battles as he can be equipped with his shortcomings.
